Men and Women use the internet in very different ways. Steriotically of course, you can say what Men use the internet for and what Women us it for.
Men I would say us the internet to check sports score, highlights, and players stats. The internet has revolutionized the way that we can follow our favorite sports teams.

Many examples come to mind to the question of copyright infringement online. A huge example that falls under the radar due to limewire and the old napster scam is Torrents. Bittorrent is a peer to peer program that allows you to download not only individual files but folders upon folders of things. Bittorrent takes piracy to a knew level. For example on limewire I could download just one song by an artist, but with Bittorrent i could download the artists entire Discography. Also with this program you can pirate other "cracked programs". So instead of paying upwards of $100 for Adobe Photoshop all you have to do is go on a Torrent search engine, find it, and wait for it to download and you have it for free. Not to be a hypacrite, I love this program. I myself do pirate music and other programs.

I, being an average 19 year old college student use the internet just as many like myself do. I use the internet for research papers, and checking work for classes and numerous other mediums in the academic world. But I also use the internet for peer to peer comunication suchas Twitter, Facebook and Email.
My mother, although new to the technology uses the internet as well. She uses it to pay bills and advertise for her buisness on free cites suchas Craigs list. Orbitz and Jetblue are also websites she frequents due to her intirest in travel.
